Meet Founder Tanya Nguyen
Tanya Nguyen was born and grew up in Vietnam and came to the United States as a refugee in 1975. At that time, she did not speak any English. Because of the struggles and challenges she experienced learning the language and the decades of training and working in the beauty industry, she knows how important it is to have someone to provide mentorship, guidance, encouragement, and cultivate talent both in school and on the job. It was because of this that she decided to start TNN Beauty Apprenticeship and TNN Beauty Salon & Barbershop.
About US
In conjunction with TNN Apprenticeship, Tanya also founded the TNN Beauty Salon & Barbershop, where students and graduates of the Apprenticeship Programs offer their services and expertise for willing patrons. This provides on-the-job training, with supervision and guidance from their teachers and management for the students, and affordable services for the patrons. At TNN Beauty Salon & Barbershop, services are provided by a mix of students and experienced hair stylists and cosmetologists.
TNN Apprenticeship
TNN Apprenticeship is the leading beauty institute in California. We offer students classroom and on-the job training, permitting students to unlock their potential in becoming a licensed Barber or Cosmetologist. We developed an efficient program through a system unlike other Barber colleges and Beauty schools. Students receive an Apprentice License to work in a licensed establishment, then have the opportunity to Earn-While-You-Learn. Apprentice hours are divided into (RSI) and (OJT).
